A wish report from Hennessy’s wish granting volunteers Lisa and Pam, who write:
On Saturday, October 8, 2005, we delivered a wish to Hennessy in Naugatuck.
We arrived at Hennessy’s home with McDonald’s happy meals and a special cake for Hennessy, her sister and cousins. We had an extra-special celebration since it was also Hennessy’s birthday. We also brought other gifts, including sand molds, flower sticks and a Halloween bucket filled with candy. We also shared buckets for all the other children who gathered at the house.
We presented Hennessy with a customized wooden name plague, to nail to the playset. The sign reads: Hennessy’s Wish. The playset was especially customized for Hennessy. It was beautiful and accessible for Hennessy to climb and play freely.
Hennessy was all smiles and giggles as she shared her playset with her siblings and friends. It was a wonderful wish day for us all!
