Everyone involved in fulfilling the wish of a child with a life-threatening medical condition is touched by the magic of the experience…magic that brings hope, strength and joy to children and their families during a difficult time. A wish is something precious to look forward to and can make all the difference to a sick child and their family.
By adopting a wish you too can be part of the magic. When you, your company, professional club, or student group chooses to adopt a child’s wish, you have the opportunity to become connected to the wish experience. Every wish is a unique and memorable experience for the wish child, the wish family and all those who participate in the wish. And many donors say they began their support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and its endearing mission after hearing a child’s memorable wish story.
The average cost of a wish is approximately $8,500 and quickly approaching $10,000.
Now you can help create more heartwarming stories for children with life-threatening medical conditions through our Adopt-A-Wish program. This giving option allows donors to fund a single wish experience in its entirety. The Make-A-Wish Foundation covers all costs associated with a wish, including transportation, food, lodging and admission fees for the entire family. We will provide you with a special story about your adopted wish so that you can see how your contribution brings joy to a courageous wish child. Some of the types of wishes that we grant are:
