Myles battles a life threatening medical condition daily, making his childhood years different from most of his peers. His days are filled with medical treatements and appointments. But what keeps Myles' spirits strong through his most difficult moments is spending time with his family.
When Wish-Granting Volunteers came to meet Myles, it was clear just how important family was in his home. With many other family members living in Canada, it didn't take long to determine that Myles’ one true wish was to visit them for the holidays!
Myles, his mom, dad and younger brother journeyed north just in time for the holidays, and spent an entire week with grandparents, aunts and uncles for Christmas. They even had family portraits taken in coordinating apparel, donated by Macy’s, commemorating the special season and celebration of family.
Throughout the rest of their week in "winter wonderland," Myles visited Crystal Palace, went to the movies, visited the Artisan Center, and above all, relaxed.
“Everything was just perfect!” said Myles’ mom.
Spending time with family during the holidays gave Myles' a rejuvenated sense of hope, strength and joy, and created beautiful memories for eveyone to cherish forever.
