The University of Bridgeport graduate was appointed to our Board of Directors in April 2018, becoming one of 21 industry leaders who guide our chapter toward our vision of granting the wish of every eligible child in Connecticut.
Salinas is most known for his work with Digital Surgeons, where he served as CEO for over a decade. With clients such as Lady Gaga and United Technologies, the full-service digital agency has won dozen of national awards and is considered one of the top privately owned agencies in the country. Today, he is the founder and visionary behind District, a New Haven development designed to nurture and inspire art, business and innovation here in Connecticut.
Outside of work, Salinas is the proud father of nine-year-old daughter, Brooklyn and husband to Katie—who initially encouraged him to look into Make-A-Wish. “When I learned about the effect that wishes have on people’s hope and spirit, that sealed the deal for me,” Salinas explains. “I can only hope to provide some incremental value to the incredible work done by the Make-A-Wish Connecticut team. They deliver hope and energy in a way that I can only aspire to learn from and soak up from time to time.”
When asked what his wish would be, Salinas’ thoughts turned to a fellow entrepreneur, “I would wish to spend a few hours talking with Jay-Z in a music studio.”
